Welcome to Midstate Jeeparts & 4-WD

Midstate Jeeparts & 4WD has been around for 20 years. It was created in 1986. Operating out of an old car dealership in Gunnison, Utah, the original owner, Marv Fox had a big reputation of knowing Jeep's inside and out. Marv's vast knowledge and experience, coupled with a love for Jeeps and off-roading, turned a hobby into a career making venture. Marv didn't really need catalogs; he had part numbers and applications all in his head. When it came time to retire, Marv put the business up for sale.

In April of 2001 Kevin and Maxine Hiss purchased Midstate Jeeparts & 4 WD. Kevin has two boys that were into Jeeping pretty heavily. Brandon was away at school, working on a mechanical engineering degree. Brett assumed the role of manager. It soon became apparent that the present location was not in line with the direction that the new owners had in mind for the business. They knew that they wanted to expand into serving the needs of all types of four wheel drive vehicles.

Kevin went to work on plans for a new building in their hometown of Richfield, Utah, about 40 miles to the south of the old location. The new building was completed in September 2001. It had a nice showroom area, with a two bay shop complete with a 9000 pound hoist. In 2005 it became apparent that they needed more room. They built on to the building, adding another bay and a new 10,000 pound hoist, along with the welding and fabrication area.

Midstate is a corporation with Kevin acting as President, Brett is Vice President of Operations, and Brandon is Vice President of Design and Development. Midstate does business with customers all over the western states, and ships inventory to the east coast.
